GREENSBORO — The rock band Goo Goo Dolls will perform April 23 at War Memorial Auditorium.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. next Friday at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or at the Greensboro Coliseum box office. Tickets also are available by telephone at (800) 745-3000.

The show starts at 8 p.m. All tickets are reserved and cost $35.

The Goo Goo Dolls were nominated for Grammy Awards in 1999 and 2000. The band is best known for its 1999 song "Iris." They have released 10 albums, including greatest hits collections in 2008 and 2009. The band's Wikipedia and Facebook pages says a new album is due out sometime in early 2010.

The band's upcoming tour starts April 6 in Augusta, Ga., and includes 14 dates.
