The Goo Goo Dolls are coming home for a concert and they have picked one of the city's most iconic theaters for the performance: the recently reopened North Park Theatre.

The band, led by Buffalo natives Johnny Rzeznik and Robby Takac, announced a special show at the Hertel Avenue theater for Buffalo members of their fan club, Inner Machine.

The band will play one of their intimate, acoustic "Otis Midnight Sessions" shows on April 29 at the North Park. Tickets for fan club members are on sale now here.

The theater, which had been closed for months while undergoing renovations, reopened last week.

The Goos played at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center last summer. They will be on tour across the Northeast in April, including a show April 12 at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls.

But the band with Buffalo roots, which famously played in front of City Hall during a driving rain storm on July 4, in 2004, has not played in the city in recent years.
