Globally respected and celebrated for their imprint on music history, the Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 10 million albums since 1986, and have had an astonishing 14 Top Ten multi-format hit singles including "Name," "Slide," and "Iris," which spent almost 12 straight months on the Billboard charts and held the Number One position for 17 consecutive weeks. The 2011 Discover Orange Bowl, to be held Monday, January 3, 2011, with kickoff at 8 pm will feature the ACC Champion versus a BCS at-large team. Over its 77-year history the Orange Bowl has hosted 19 National Champions and 16 Heisman Trophy winners. Both the game and Orange Bowl Halftime Show will be broadcast by ESPN.

The halftime show and pregame ceremonies will, once again, delight fans of sports and promise to be even more spectacular and grand, with a synergy of fireworks, effects, jet planes and a superstar performance, not to mention honors, awards, marching bands and local entertainment.

"We love doing the Halftime show," said ACT Productions CEO, Bruce Orosz. "It's a unique experience. Sports, entertainment and more than seven decades of tradition -- it's a perfect way to start off every year."

"The Orange Bowl Committee is excited to again be working with ACT Productions in creating the Discover Orange Bowl's world-renowned halftime show featuring the Goo Goo Dolls," said OBC CEO Eric Poms. "ACT has produced fantastic shows over the past five years and plays a big part in continuing a 77-year-old tradition."
