First, Democratic National Chair Howard Dean gave his top fundraisers a party Monday night after the convention.

And then he gave them the rock band the Goo Goo Dolls in gratitude for their political donations and support.

Several hundred Democratic Party and Barack Obama donors and supporters gathered in the Sculpture Garden of the Performing Arts complex for a private Democratic National Convention welcome to fundraisers from across the country who have descended on Denver.

Dean exhorted the crowd following Michelle Obama's speech to the convention, thanking them for their "large donations.

"I think I will go into the voting booth and vote for Michelle," Dean told the crowd.

Then he broght his bus mate from the tour that ended in Denver, actor Kal Penn, of Harold and Kumar fame, on stage.

But he saved the best for last, introducing the Goo Goo Dolls.

They played their top hits for about 45 minutes as party-goers picked from a smorgasbord of treats and drinks.
