Picture Disc featuring Transformers artwork. The four-time Grammy-nominated Goo Goo Dolls are set to release the lead track from this summers biggest blockbuster on 3rd December, the same day Transformers is released on DVD. The track is only being released on limited edition 7" picture vinyl which features the Goo Goo Dolls on one side and Transformers artwork on the other. This single release comes 2 weeks after the release of their Greatest Hits package. This year has seen the band tour worldwide and deliver fantastic international performances including V Festival, T in the Park and Oxygen festival, as well as selling out headline shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo, Brixton Academy and Shepherds Bush Empire. Since forming in New York in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls have evolved from a punk influenced trio into the platinum selling, (10 million albums) chart topping act behind such massive hits as "Name", "Iris", "Slide" and "Here Is Gone". "Iris" has been in the UK Top 200 for the last 18 months! Singer/songwriter John Rzeznik is currently one of the judges on the new show from the producers behind AMERICAN IDOL. They take the musical reality genre to a whole new performance level with a mission to find undiscovered groups on THE NEXT GREAT AMERICAN BAND. Rzeznik, Shelia E, and Ian "Dicko" Dickson ("Australian Idol") will serve as judges and the series premiered on Oct. 19 on FOX. The show will air every Friday in the US with UK transmission dates to follow.
