MULTI-PLATINUM BAND TO KICK THINGS OFF FEBRUARY 17 IN MONTREAL

Warner Bros. Records recording group Goo Goo Dolls are set to embark on a 13-city Canadian tour. The band will begin the tour on February 17 in Montreal, before wrapping things up in Vancouver on March 6. Singer/songwriter Tim Chaisson from Bear River, PEI will open from February 17-22, and Ottawa roots rock band Autumns Cannon will open the remaining dates.

Goo Goo Dolls released their 10th studio album, Magnetic, in June, scoring a top 10 debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart. The album features the hit song “Rebel Beat” and their latest single “Come To Me.” The Buffalo, NY trio - singer guitarist John Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac, and drummer Mike Malinin - recorded Magnetic in New York, London and LA with Gregg Wattenberg (Train), Rob Cavallo (Green Day), John Shanks (Bon Jovi), and Greg Wells (Katy Perry).

Goo Goo Dolls, who have become one of the most globally respected and influential forces in popular music history, have sold millions of albums worldwide, and have had five songs reach No. 1 at Canadian radio formats: “Slide” (Rock), “Iris” (CHR), “Give A Little Bit” (Hot AC), “Better Days” (Hot AC) and “Stay With You” (Hot AC). They have been nominated for four GRAMMY Awards and are the only artist to have three songs on Billboard’s “Top 100 Songs from 1992-2012" including the Number One slot, for “Iris.” “Iris” spent nearly 12 straight months on the Billboard charts and held the Number One position for 17 consecutive weeks. John Rzeznik has been honored with the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award and they have shared the stage with everyone from The Rolling Stones to Taylor Swift, who recently covered "Iris" with Rzeznik onstage.
