By James Fink, Buffalo Business First The Goo Goo Dolls will officially be inducted into the Buffalo Ambassador Hall of Fame Wednesday afternoon as part of an annual tourism salute put together by Visit Buffalo Niagara. The noon luncheon, set for the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, will feature awards to the Goo Goo Dolls as well as William Vanecek, the NFTA's director of aviation, who is winning the "Tourism Executive of the Year" honors. The Goo Goo Dolls will not be present, as the band is in the middle of a spring tour. Other highlights include a "State of the Industry" address by Dottie Gallagher-Cohen, who will in June be leaving her post as Visit Buffalo Niagara's president and CEO to take over a similar position with the Buffalo Niagara Partnership.
