Buffalo, N.Y. - The Goo Goo Dolls are in California preparing for their upcoming national tour, but that didn't stop Buffalo's own Robby Takac from visiting with local high school students Wednesday.

The local musician took part in Music Industry Career Day at Villa Maria College via satellite Wednesday afternoon. Students had the opportunity to ask Takac about the business and get some good advice in return.

Today's event was held to give local aspiring musicians and record producers the chance to see what really goes on inside the music industry.

The Goo Goo Dolls kick off their tour April 11th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
