It's been four short years sense we've been compelled to contend with a new album from the pride of Buffalo, and the brave and/or foolhardy among us might have been cherishing the prospect of a Goo Goo Doll house collapse. Dare to dream, eh? Anyway, Something for the Rest of Us seems to strongly depend on what their definition of "us" is, since there's certainly not much here for folks who enjoy writing that isn't heavily processed, child-proof and so shot through with empty rock'n'roll cliché's it's the musical equivalent of Swiss cheese. In short, it's a Goo Goo Dolls album, and long-time fans will no doubt be delighted. As for the rest of us, well..
