New York rockers the Goo Goo Dolls returning to Victoria for performance in March

Buffalo, N.Y., rockers the Goo Goo Dolls are returning to Victoria with a performance in March at the Royal Theatre.

The group, led by co-founders John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, will perform March 5 as part of their tour behind Magnetic, their 10th studio recording.

The band — famous for the hits Iris, Name, and Slide — has not performed locally since their appearance at Harpo’s Cabaret as part of 1989’s Jed tour.

Tickets go on sale at 9:30 a.m. Friday. They are available for $39 and $65 (plus service charges) at livenation.com, rmts.bc.ca, by phone at 250-386-6121 or in person at the Royal McPherson box office.
