We caught up with the Goo Goo Dolls- Robby Takac a few hours after his band was named “The Artist of the Year” in the Adult Music category on the nationally televised Radio Music Award Show. Once again, Robby is having another amazing year, the GGD’s new single “Better Days” is all over the radio and charts. In addition, his record label Good Charamel is cranking out some great CD’s. One of the bands on his label, The Last Conservative is opening for Bon Jovi at the HSBC arena in Buffalo NY on Jan 20. This will be a show not to be missed,

While flying overseas for the holidays, Robby was kind enough to e-mail us another update. Here’s what he wrote.

Congratulations on being named the “The Artist of the Year” in the Adult music category at the RMAS. You guys seemed a bit shocked when they announced you as the winner, but in reality you guys had a great year on the Adult radio format with "Give A Little Bit" and Better Days." You truly deserved the award. Thanks for giving us back in Buffalo something to celebrate. Here at the GlamMetal.com offices in Buffalo NY we celebrated your victory as if the Bills won the Superbowl. What did you guys do to celebrate?
mike and john did the "party thing" . . . i'm going to tokyo for the holidays, so i went right to the airport. . . . . . celebrated at the taco bell in the vegas airport. . . . . . . .i got the bean SUPREME this time. . . . . . .

Have you decided what the next GGD single is going to be and when it's going for adds?
not yet. . . probably february... . . . . .

How about a set release date for the upcoming CD?

Your label, Good Charamel Records has recently put together a "MUSIC is HOPE", a collection of rare and unreleased tracks from WNY artists featuring the Goo Goo Dolls, Ani Difranco w/ Amungus, Last Conservative, The Juliet Dagger and Klear. All proceeds from the CD go to charity. How can fans obtain a copy.

Speaking of Good Charamel, one of your bands, The Last Conservative is really hot right now. They will be opening for Bon Jovi in Buffalo and were just voted "Best Unsigned Artist" at the XM Nation Awards 2005. You must be really proud of those guys. How is their new CD coming along?
it's gonna be absolutely unreal. . . . . . . . .

Juliet Dagger, another amazing band on your label will be opening for the GGD's on Dec 31 at the HOB in Las Vegas. What's the plan for them in 2006?
we're going to tokyo to record and do some video, next disc due out April 06 !!!!!!!
