Buffalo's Goo Goo Dolls will perform at the 2018 Bridgestone Winter Classic New Year's Day game between the Buffalo Sabres and the New York Rangers at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, the NHL announced today.

The band will take the stage during the first intermission of the game, which will be broadcast live on NBC, Sportsnet and TVA Sports beginning at 1 p.m. Jan. 1.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first Winter Classic, the historic, snowy battle between the Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins at what was then known as Ralph Wilson Stadium.
