The Goo Goo Dolls will be giving back this holiday season by doing a benefit concert at L.A.'s legendary Troubadour club December 15.

The show, called "Embrace The World," will raise money for L.A.'s Good Shepherd Shelter, which helps women and girls who've been abused or exploited.  All proceeds will go directly to the shelter, and all ticket buyers are being asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the show.  Tickets go on sale November 7.

The Goo Goo Dolls are also playing a benefit next week in San Diego for the Rob Machado Foundation, which supports charities dedicated to environmental programs worldwide, in particular, programs that help kids understand how environmental issues impact the planet.  It's named after champion surfer Rob Machado.
