JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Students at one Jacksonville school rocked out for a good cause. The Goo Goo Dolls visited students at Mayport Elementary for the Blessings in a Backpack program.

It helps provide needy children with meals so that they can concentrate on learning. Volunteers say it is a problem in classrooms all over the country that is getting worse.

"There is a lot of pain and a lot of hurting because of what is going on out in the world right now in this bad economy. And the need is getting greater and greater everyday, said John Rzeznik from the band.

250 students at Mayport and Jacksonville Beach elementary schools received a backpack full of ready-to-eat meals and snacks.
